David + I had never been to Utah but it stayed high on our to-do list. The mountain views, the hiking, and the people. Everywhere we turned was magical, just like this elopement we did on the salt flats at the Great Saltair off the Great Salt Lake.
Kylee + James are a COVID couple. They didn’t get the wedding they thought they’d have but stayed true to each other and decided to elope anyway. We took them + their wedding attire to the salt flats just outside of SLC to capture golden hour elopement goodness. It was just as magical as it sounds. They exude joy + love, seriously so adorable + sweet!! Also, can we talk about this bouquet?! She made it! Yes, in quarantine she started playing around with florals + bam!
The dress, the suit, the hat, the bouquet, the mountains, the sky, + their smiles, it just about kills me as a photographer.
This whole night was a dream. They were a dream. We left this quick adventure wanting so much more + excited for another trip back very soon! Utah is full of places to explore, adventure, elope, shoot, and sit in wonder of its beauty. This is really one of the beauties of eloping. It was just a few hours of hanging out, watching the sunset, + playing with the scenery. Honestly, who wouldn’t want photos like these? We’re obsessed!
If you want to meet us out in Utah (or anywhere) the next time we are out there either to elope or have a session, check out our travel schedule here + send us a shout-out.
If you are getting married or eloping in Utah (or anywhere out west) + want us to capture it, we’ll be there in a drop of a hat! We can even venture back out to the Great Saltair for an elopement!
We are excited to share more of our Utah + other travel journeys on the blog in the coming weeks!
Until Next Time, Katie
